Perfect for the job

Hibernating a tortoise in fridge needs the risks to be minimised. One of the important factors is having a low temperature failsafe and this works perfectly by having a cut out point which I set at 5C. I am only obviously using the chilled control function but I know if the fridge should reach 5C it will switch it off. I’ve set the device to start chilling again at 5.5C It has audible alarms for low and high temp which is handy too. Just perfect for the job and budget conscious too. I should say the fridge works perfectly well and stabilises at 5C so it’s only to act as a fail safe. To account for a low ambient temperature or a thermostatic failure. It would warn me of a motor failure too by alerting to high temp which you can set. Takes a minute or two to get your head around the parameters but I got there quickly enough with some good examples. And yes I have thought about air supply too for those of you concerned by the method. Thank you
