Easy to alter

Easy to follow clear instructions. Easy to alter, which I always have to do because I have a short torso and that's why I go for homemade. Also had to sew in the bottom sides because I'm not that curvy. So many options and add one. Will definitely make a few in different thicknesses for warmth. This only has fleece with Commander material outside and is wind proof and warm enough for spring and fall.

Perfect fit!

I started cutting the fabric when I began maternity leave and finished sewing it about 3 weeks after my baby was born! I find myself reaching for this coat over and over. I enjoyed the embroidery and the process very much! But winter was running out here and I wanted to wear it so made the call to skip the windflap for now. I can always do it later on if the inspiration hits! I made a size H and graded to J at the hips although next time I might just only grade up one size. Material is a wool flannel and the lining next time I'll opt for something thinner to reduce the bulk. By next winter hopefully I'll have made the carrier add on! I've already decided what fabric I'll use for my next one! A great pattern that is easy when you use all the resources. Take your time and you'll be proud of the end product - I know I am ❤️
