Howling Woods was my all time favorite & I was excited to try Wolf Moon. I am a fan of anise & this scent is there but doesn't overpower the candle. It's still a very earthy & musky scent with a touch of sweetness from the layered sweeter scents.

My favorite

Wolf Moon- formerly “Howling Woods”- is hands down my favorite Burke & Hare scent, which is a big deal because they have a lot of gems. The anise note in this is so unique, and something dry and earthy blends subtly and seamlessly with the sweetness of the anise and vanilla, keeping it from being too candied or cloying. I can’t get enough of it and am absolutely thrilled they’ve brought in a Wolf Moon roll on with the anise note to match the candle. The classic Howling Woods roll on without the anise is still a favorite scent to wear as well, and I’m so happy they’ve kept the classic while adding Wolf Moon! Licorice was not on my radar at all as an autumn scent or something I’d want myself or my home to smell like before experiencing Burke & Hare’s Wolf Moon for the first time a few years ago. It is now totally emblematic of the season for me, and I am excited to light this scent up every year. (Please never discontinue it!)

THE BEST SCENT! I wish they had a larger version of this candle. I have an open concept house so it takes two, but a single can fill my bedroom. The scent is amazing! 🐺
