Cimabue Crucifix

This beautiful crucifix is by Cimabue and it hangs in the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence and dates to c. 1280s. It is not to be confused with the San Damiano Crucifix from which Christ spoke to Saint Francis of Assisi. Saint Francis died in 1226, before Cimabue crafted this beautiful crucifix.

Stunning

We were looking for a white crucifix for above our bed and given the great service from House of Joppa in the past, we came back and ordered this one.
