So far the trays are doing their job of keeping seeds off the ground and encouraging birds to land UNDER the hopper for eating of lost seeds from the hopper!

Very sturdy!

They don't make 'em like this any more- this tray is good quality, made to last! It galls me to give the squirrels such a convenient place to sit when I'd rather they go elsewhere, but the tray is catching 90% of the seeds that fall and is easy to clean, so it's serving its purpose.
