Thriving already only after a week in the dirt!

Holy Chestnut

I first order these back in 2015 when I moved to East Texas just south of Lufkin. They are fast growing and within three years I had chestnuts, nut a lot but they were there. The trees were about 2 1/2 to 3 feet seedlings and after 5 years the trees were 12 to 15 feet tall and the only water they got was what fell out of the sky. These are easy to care for no spraying a little fertilizer and stand back and watch them grow. My place had deep sand and did fantastic so I can't speak to other soil types. Unfortunately health issues required we leave East Texas and move back to south Texas where I have just planted 3 new trees this time in heavy black clay, I made a few adjustments to planting as I understand these trees need well drained soil and black gumbo is anything but. I got lots of advice on when and how to plant in my area from Dudley, he has been such a wealth of knowledge just a great guy to talk with.

The trees arrived well packed and in excellent shape. I’m very impressed with the quality of the plants and will be ordering more in the future.
