For several years I used the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VI and was so happy with it that I considered it the best pocket camera I had ever owned. Eventually, I decided to try something different and sold the RX100 VI, replacing it with a Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III. Despite its popularity and positive reviews, the Canon simply wasn't for me. It was a good camera, but it never gave me the same feeling of speed, responsiveness, and confidence that I had become accustomed to with Sony. After a while, I sold the Canon and returned to the RX100 series, this time purchasing the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII. After extensive use, I can confidently say that the RX100 VII is noticeably better than the RX100 VI in almost every area that matters to me. The autofocus is faster and more reliable. Subject tracking is significantly improved, and face and eye detection work exceptionally well. The camera responds instantly when you press the shutter button. Everything feels quicker, smoother, and more refined. Image quality remains outstanding. For such a small camera, the results are remarkable. Images are sharp, detailed, and pleasing straight out of the camera. The versatile 24–200mm zoom lens makes it suitable for almost any situation, from landscapes and street photography to portraits and travel photography. What I appreciate most about the RX100 VII is not a specific technical feature but its size. The camera lives in the pocket of my jacket and goes with me everywhere. It is compact enough to carry all day without thinking about it, yet capable enough to produce images that consistently impress me. As a professional interior photographer, I understand the advantages of larger cameras and interchangeable lenses. The RX100 VII is not intended to replace a full-frame system. However, as an everyday camera for travel, family moments, walks around the city, and those unexpected photographic opportunities, it is exceptionally capable. If I had to choose a premium compact camera again today, I would buy the RX100 VII without hesitation. Rating: 5/5 The camera is not inexpensive, but it justifies its price every time I reach into my pocket and find it ready to capture a moment that might otherwise have been missed.

Far exceeded my expectations. The image quality is absolutely fantastic. So many features to learn, it will take some time to become fully conversant with the camera. I love it !
