For the size and cost of the filter the life of the filter is only 6mths. When it comes close to that time it taints the water. I have used other filters that last the same period but not taint the water and are less expensive. I was disappointed by the duration of the filter and how its degrades effecting the taste if my water when it’s reaching the end if the 6mths
