Pre-Order Compton Oak Hybrid (Quercus x comptoniae) for Fall Shipment

The seedlings were tall but the roots very cramped. Had to soak them and carefully pull roots apart before planting. Anyone not doing this will have problems.

I planted 2 Compton Oaks I bought from Nativ Nurseries in January 2024. These trees arrived in excellent condition and have grown well. One would have grown out of the tree tube during its last flush of growth but a caterpillar nipped the terminal off. That tree was 44 inches tall at the end of October. I am very pleased with these trees.

So far so good, planted last weekend and they are looking good, as long as the cold temps. don't get them.
