Wasn't sure I'd ever see this outside of a festival shorts program or a convention, so finding out SRS had Howl on blu made it an instant buy. The picture and sound are great. And the film is every bit as good as I'd hoped.

Poignant and Unusual

Original concept of using live-action (not stop-motion) puppetry lifts this Kaiju film into must-see territory. Well-scored with an eloquent elasmosaur as the howling beast. Set during the Meiji period of Japanese reconstruction and an apt depiction of class struggles between land barons and common folk. One of the very best giant monster films of the last decade.

Beautifully Made Indie Kaiju Film

Its a charming and sincerely made short film which was made with a sense of love for the genre. The Blu-Ray release by SRS is very clean and has just about every special Feature one could want from a film like this. I hope they get into more Kaiju Eiga releases down the line. Overall very pleased with this purchase and loved the 2 posters they included.
