Hills of California Wildflower Mix

I ordered 1.5 lbs of the mix to make 100 seed packets for distribution at my wife's celebration of life. The seed arrived in a timely manner. Two friends and I had a sweet gathering to divide the bulk seed into small, decorative envelopes. We handed :out the packets during a reading based on Douglas Kaine McElvey's, A Liturgy for Planting Flowers, that begins: "In a world shadowed by cruelty, violence and loss, is there a good reason for planting flowers? Ah yes! For these bursts of color and beautiful blooms are bright dabs of grace, reminders of spreading beauty more eternal than any evil, than any grief, than any injustice or violence." Since then several people have told me they've planted the seeds and watched them germinate. So it seems my goal of perpetuating and spreading my mate's vibrant spirit is being met. Thanks for your part in that.
