Torzite worth it?

KLH Alconite vs torzite. Is it worth the extra cost? I wanted to see if the extra cost the torzite guides vs the alconite is justified by extra performance that a torzite guide might provide. I build two rods that were exactly the same except one had Alonite KLH guides and the other Torzite. I made both as light as I could. I used 7'6" blanks rated for 3/8 oz. jigs. I also used carbon fiber grips with exposed blank spinning reel seats. I didn't not do any other decorations to the blank itself. I built my cousin multiple rods and built these rods specific for fishing below a dam. For that particular fishing a person uses a 1/16th oz jig with a 4 inch plastic. 6 lb braid is a must ! The big walleyes below the dam will not bite if you use 10 lb. braid. The bait is casted out and left to drift down in the current caused by the hydro electric dam. The 4" white plastic simulates a smelt that is stunned by going through the dam. My cousin casted and let the plastic drift . He casted for about an hour with the torzite rod. After doing that for the hour he used the rod with the Alconite guides. After three casts he put that rod down and went back to the torzite rod and finished fishing. I later asked him if there was that much of a difference and he said "oh yah". He told me that the Torzite rod casted further, it also seemed lighter and more responsive he told me. He also mentioned that he could get a better feel of the plastic drifting. To summerise things I guess that if you fish a lot it might be beneficial to spend the extra money and you should notice a difference if you go back to standard inserts. If you are a casual fisherman I am guessing you wouldn't notice much of a difference and the expense might not be worth it. Guess it compares to a frequent fisherman having a custom rod built to fit his specific needs for maximum performance vs a casual fisherman that would be satisfied getting a rod off a rod rack at a sporting goods store.
