Buffalo's Best Sponge Candy

My daughter who lives in Buffalo, originally from Rochester married a Buffalo guy whose family had a weakness for Watson's Sponge candy. My husband and I sent them an Anniversary gift basket which contained milk chocolate sponge candy. The basket arrived when my daughter was away. Her husband ate all of the sponge candy, saving none for her. When I learned this, I ordered a box of dark chocolate sponge candy and had it sent to her with a note stating "for you only" and I said to hide it. She followed my advice but did allow her husband one piece just because she's sweet like that. Happy Ending!

My grandkids in college always love getting these "care packages" !! Their friends love them too !! Most of their friends have never heard of or tasted sponge candy before, they all love it and all the Watson's chocolates !!
