Abu Garcia lengthened and new cork grip.

Have a 6’6” Abu Garcia rod probably from the 90’s that had a 4” grip. I guess that was just the style then. Lengthen it to 7” with a piece of graphite from a broken rod I found in the lake. Ordered a new cork grip from Mudhole and installed it. Caught a 4 1/2 lb spotted bass with it on the first trip out. Great handling rod now.
