As with most Simpson products, this is excellent quality hardware . However, you really need to be sure to get all the concrete drilling fines out of the hole before installation of the screw. If you experience an increasingly higher tourqe value (> 80 ft lbs) before full engagement you probably will need to remove fastener and clean out more residual fines.

The process from Fasterners Plus could not have been easier. The order arrived in about three days. The box comes with a basic installation guide. lease be sure to read and follow the guide. The specifics of the measurements and requirements of the spacing to insure that the installation meets the Simpson specifications in order to fulfill Simpson's load capacities are not included in the box. The Simpson webpage has has a plethora of downloadable resources to include the general product sheets and technical data sheets. Just enter THD50500HMG in the webpage's search bar. It was not difficult nor onerous to locate and follow the installation requirements. I installed several deck ledger boards to my 6" deep poured concrete foundation. I am pleased with the ease and outcome. The product is hearty works as advertised in the numerous videos in which the products appear. I elected to experiment by installing a few of the Titen HD screws using a old school 3/4" drive ratchet and socket. As one might imagine it took some effort. The rest I installed with an impact driver. The latter was effortless. Both set in place equally well and seem to offer the connection I was looking for. The impact driver makes the installation easier but it is not necessary.
