No issues with hardness, leveling or bubbles and I like how it's not too thick but not too thin. I can apply a single, even coat without a need for a 2nd or 3rd. Comes out at the perfect thickness once cured. I apply at a higher speed than drying. Using the wrapping motor instead makes for a perfect coat

Smooth rod finish

ProKote thread finish is easy to work with and, when properly mixed, dries to a solid, smooth finish. It leaves a very nice-looking shine on the fishing rods I build.

PROKOTE EPOXY

HAVE BEEN USING PROKOTE FOR LAST 3 YEARS, MEDIUM AND HIGH BUILD. FOR ME IT WORKS GOOD. HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH SURPRISE BUBBLES AT GUIDE WRAPS AND MULTI LAYER BUTT WRAPS. IF CAUGHT IN TIME ALCOHOL BURNER SOLVES THIS ISSUE. IF NOT ITS A PROBLEM TRY TO FILL THE HOLE. AFTER THE APPLICATION I FOUND MYSELF CHECKING THE ROD ON THE DRYER ABOUT EVERY 30 MINUTES TO ELIMINATE ANY ISSUE. HAD TO TIME MY APPLICATION WHEN I HAD THE TIME TO STAY WITH IT. JUST FINISHED 2 RODS USING 4TH GENERATION, FEWER BUBBLES AND DRY TIME SEEMED A LITTLE FASTER
