USPS encountered some challenges, but the SouthOrd team came through. not only was their response to my inquiry almost instantaneous, but efforts to make things right (ie. sending out the entire order a second time) were put b motion immediately. And I just got a notification that there's another package en route, indicating the package that was previously relegated to a dark oblivion (which, to be clear, was neither the fault of USPS or SouthOrd, but rather the result of decades worth of concerted efforts to dismantle the USPS in favor of a privatized 'alternative') has been recovered.
