Not what I was expecting

Well right out of the bag, the ring fell out of the frame so not "locked in" very well but I was able to get it back in and sealed with Gorilla Glue clear set waterproof. I gave it 24 hours to cure, installed it on the rod I was building and it's still in there. Secondly I was expecting a better quality across the board. Being a high quality product line but the good folks at Mudhole explained the Ring Lock tip tops are the way to go for most guide trains. I ordered it with the MW20-6 TiON NanoLite guides and the rod tested great. The customer is happy with the build but I did disclose the pop out issue. I'll probably steer away from this one in the future

I have used the LZR guides and tip tops on a couple of builds. I haven’t had any issues. Quality seams to be good. Some have been on for 2 years and no issues.

Replaced a broken tip top for a friend. The LZR Tip Tops are a great replacement.
