Previously owned Expobar minore for 13 years. Looked for a replacement and this won due to 1.great build quality 2.layout of gauges and pid. 3.Great discount. 4.Fact that is a long-standing model with incremental improvement. 5.size of brew boiler compared to others. 6.Cup warming and air insulated outer casing. 7.ease of access to Q components. 8. Love the coffee produced so far. Downsides: Had issue with temp sensor failing, had it replaced. Under warranty. Overall: An older but usually reliable machine !

Everything a home barista could ask for

After investing what felt like months into research for a home expresso machine, it became clear very quickly after discovering the Alex Duetto that the choice was easy. The Duetto is Italian made, has gauges placed high on the unit for easy viewing, heats quickly for an E61 (15min), plenty of steam power and stainless steel throughout including the chassis most are painted carbon steel). It is high quality thick steel plate. The workmanship is high and the timber handles a joy to hold. The inclusion of a naked portafilter, timber handles, a steam tip kit (four options of tips) and plumbing kit for the same price as competitors without these makes it a no-brainer. There is not a single thing that I can fault on this machine. Complete Cafe Services were very good pre and post sale. Quick to reply to enquiries, polite, and helpful. If I was to offer any advice on improving the service it would be that CCS missed an opportunity to sell me a maintenance kit. It wasn’t until after a week of use that I realised I had not ordered any cleaning chemicals or gear. This cost me a second round of postage that could have been saved, and additional sales for CCS if they had offered it to me at POS for the machine. Same goes for servicing.
