First painting - Santorini
I very much enjoyed doing this painting. It is not perfect but I am still learning and I am also a perfectionist; so that is on me. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I am looking forward to doing the other two paintings I purchased. Once they are all done I will be ordering more. 1) I found the reference sheet very hard to read; especially the numbers. Perhaps we could get a QR code to download a pdf file we can magnify to improve readability? 2) I ran out of a few colours (mostly the pale ones) so I could not do a second coat and totally hide the lines. If I am lucky I can use paint from the other ones I purchased. 3) I used flow medium to make the paints flow better which definitely helped. 4) I put the canvas on the frame at the start. I found that I rested my hand/elbow on the canvas while painting but the canvas was not supported. In future I will put the canvas on a flat surface and only frame the painting after it is done.
