Steelhead Rod for the Surf

I built an ST1083F-MHX to use as a whiting rod for the surf. It will be fished close in with a small weight and bait for whiting that often cruise the close in troughs. Should also work good for flounder with bait or small swim baits.

Great quality grips had a heck of a time trying to ream it the grips ended up breaking it was to small for my rod but the mudhole team made things right
