Yamaha YEV105 5-String Electric Violin

Fiddlershop did an excellent job setting my 5 string up with the geared peg tuners, I ordered added on, and bridge adjustments they do on new instruments. I had tried an NS 5 string but ended up not being able to use it due to shoulder/chinrest geometry issues and instrument weight and balance. This instrument is relatively light and well balanced for me when using with a BonMusica 4/4 shoulder rest. The pickup produces very nice tonation across the whole range of strings whether I'm using my Mustang Micro plug-in amp for headphone practice, direct cable line, or my favorite: the Line 6 relay G10 so I can just walk around the room playing.

Instant love affair with this violin from the moment I first started playing it. Took some getting used to with the five strings. you can almost duplicate a cello sound with this violin. Very happy with this purchase and with Fiddlershop.
