Wittner Finetune Geared Violin Peg Set

Ther work as advertised but have instructions lacking some details.

These work well though it looks like one of my peg holes is a bit oversized so I'll have to order an oversized peg. I wish that the instructions had mentioned that it helps to remove old peg compound with a Q tip and a little alcohol before putting in the new pegs. They will work without doing this step, but then sometimes might slip until the stuff is cleaned out. I'm also going to order another full set for another violin, as they are phenomenal and will allow me to put back on those handmade tiger maple tailpieces that came with the instruments.

I had them installed a few weeks ago. My D string peg has already quit working. As soon as you start winding it up, it unwinds. I haven’t even made my last payment. The biggest part that bothers me the most is that I just started playing.
