SAS Original Violin/Viola Chinrest

It seems of very good quality, but just not for me. It felt uncomfortable under my chin. I feel kind of annoyed i spent $50 on this but ended up not using it at all. You may love it or might not.

This is the second chin restof this brand I got, for my second instrument. I love the fit and the aesthetics of it. However, my first chin rest, which I bought from a different retailer, is gold-plated. The gold finish has worn off after several years of use and now I get skin irritation on my neck, where the hardware touches it, so I have to use a cloth to cover it. I hope this one doesn't have same issue since it's pained.

Disappointed

Have bought 4 of the SAS chinrests over the last year. All came with the gold (brass plated) metal mount hardware. Your own website still shows the gold metal mount. Apparently, SAS has switched to a carbon fiber mount instead of the old gold metal mount. Would have been nice to know this before ordering what I expected to be a trusted product. Feels like they are cost cutting. Time will tell. In any event, product was not as advertised.
