Market Tote

Classy, Modern and Stylish

I bought the large market tote to serve several purposes. To be my daily bag but also carry sneakers & workout outfit for the gym, to and from the office since I change at work. I added a small organizer I already had to the bottom, arranged my pouches, slipped in shoe bag w/change of clothing, large water bottle, and still had room to add my lunch bag. I was having to carry 3 separate bags into/from work on gym days & now it'll just be one! I do overnight travel for work too and am already planning on using this as my only overnight bag too versus bringing a weekender. The options with functionality is why I chose this size and not the mini. I can see myself getting the mini one in the future when I no longer have frequent overnight travel. The design is beautiful and simple. The black is classy and modern looking. I like that attention is on the design and not labeling/logo. It's tall but not boxy, so lays flat to your side when using the straps. Handle opening is very soft & I think with wear, they could become slouchy, which I like that look, so that would be fine. I have spent YEARS trying to find a smaller, American handmade leather goods company that I felt fit what I was seeking atheistically and quality-wise. I am so happy to have finally found it with Urban Southern. I will definitely be purchasing more items for myself and my daughter.

I’ve waited to write a review until I carried this bag for a few weeks. I’ll start by saying that I really thought it would be too large (and it is large) but thought the mini market tote would be too small. So glad I purchased the large market tote. It holds so much! It carries my usual “purse stuff” plus my lunch bag, large water bottle, light jacket and slippers when headed to work. Even with all that inside, I can still carry it and it doesn’t feel heavy. I find myself carrying it all the time even when I’m not headed to work. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the leather is so nice and quite thick and after just a few weeks the leather is already so soft and squishy. Best purchase I’ve made in a very long time. I already have the Market Tote in black, but I had to get it in this new run of black leather also! I love how the newest leather run is very pigmented and has a bit of a top coat, giving it a slight shine and making it a bit more study. I just love it!
