I'm so glad this ink is still available. The 60ml bottle lasts me about three to four years because I also use the ESS Registrar's Ink, a very similar ink. The Akkerman #10 is phenomenally well-behaved, flows surprising well for an iron-gall ink, and is completely waterproof. You have to give it at least three days to oxidize and turn mostly black before it becomes waterproof. It oxidizes to a beautifully glossy finish with plenty of depth and shading, even on the cheapest papers. The potential harmful effects of the ink on your pens and paper are mostly exaggerated. Just be careful not to let the ink completely dry up inside your vintage pen, but that's true of most inks.
