New Toaster After 16 Years

I broke the lift spring thingy on my beloved 16yr old Toastess toaster. I thought my husband could maybe take a look at it, but it had these weird triangle shaped screws... so that was the end of that idea. My old Toastess was cool touch, had a digital timer as well as cancel and bagel buttons. Of course, they no longer make it. After looking at numerous toasters with similar option, I narrowed it down to a couple that had most of the options I was looking for, but ultimately decided on the " a bit more " Breville 4 slice toaster. It has a cool touch wall, but it is bulkier and it is alot of money to worry about failing, but overall reviews were solid enough i figured i'd take a chance.... and tbh my husband was complaining every day about not having a toaster since he used our toaster on average 4 times a week. Lol! It has taken some time to get the toast settings right, but that's the case with most toasters. We really like it alot, although I wish it had a timer. FTR, I haven't had the heart to throw out my old Toastess. I hope this Breville will last as long !
