Though we knew absolutely nothing about raising chickens, we became ‘parents’ to an adorable Buff Orpington about 9 years ago. We lived in an area that did not allow chickens, so she became a house chicken. We spent tons of money trying to find a diaper that actually worked, and still allowed some chicken to actually be visible beneath the volume of material. The bikini was our solution! I did have some problems with the diaper sliding down, at first. The solution was to cut one of the Velcro straps off a diaper, slip it through the round metallic things the straps go through, but then lulled the ends together around her tail - voila! Happy chicken, happy family! (There’s much less material this way then the wrap around style.). We’ve been using the same 3 bikinis for years now, because nothing else works. So happy to hear they’re coming back!
