I purchased the large carving board as an anniversary gift for my son and his wife who report that it is absolutely beautiful and are quite pleased with the quality. I knew I wanted to get them a carving board but my Internet searches were yielding "boring" traditional carving boards until I stumbled across this one. I had never heard of Vesper and Vine but now it will be on my list.

Fabulous Cutting Board

I love love love this cutting board!! For many years, I have preferred cutting boards with a groove around them because I cut up so many veggies and fruits like tomatoes that are juicy. This cutting board has a wider and deeper groove than any others I have owned. So it does a better job of catching the juice. Since I love the tomato juice and seeds, I like it that I can easily pick up this cutting board by its handle and pour the juice into my salad bowl or whatever I am making. It also helps that this board has a little well at one corner of the groove. The juice collects there. The cutting board is so pretty with all the curvy patterns of the olive wood. I like it so much; I have bought two of them. I haven't decided if I'll give one away or not. Maybe I'll get a third one.
