De Atramentis Document Ink Urban Sienna - Ink Sample

I started with a sample of the De Atramentis Document Ink in Urban Sienna and just purchased a full bottle. I was looking for a brown that, to me, reminded me of coffee. This is that ink. It's such a pretty brown and it writes nicely.

Fast. Great service. Amount looked small, but it's plenty for my experiments. It's water/watercolor paint "resistant"...not "waterproof", but what ink is?

De Atramentis 'Urban Sienna', an odd review

I've been looking for an ink which comes the closest to the Sepia tone and tint that the ink my grandparents used for bookkeeping and record keeping in their small business in the late 1800's and early 1900's... and this is the closest. That's odd. And a surprise. The actual ink they used is a mystery, but maybe someone out there has some information along those antique inks. It would have to have been something available at the General Store in a small town in western Nebraska.
