Lovely Christmas green
Deep yet bright green.
Debbie · December 21, 2024
Only tested in stub and music nibs, but I love it.
I got a sample before I committed to a full 3oz bottle because I keep reading mixed reviews of both this ink and noodler's inks in general. I think I consistently see a pattern of folks not having the right expectations because noodler's has such a wide variety. Going in with the expectation that this would be a somewhat dry writing ink, based on numerous reviews, and preferring broad to very broad (stub, music, italic) nibs for colors such as this, I immediately fell in love upon first write. After working with it for about a week now, I am definitely going to buy a three ounce bottle. I'll try that with more pens and more nib sizes and return with more in depth insights, if necessary. The pink is light, yet opaque. You won't have any trouble reading it. Color photocopies come out more magenta but black and white photocopies do not capture the text at all. It is on par with De Atramentis document ink in terms of permanence and water resistance, as expected, though it certainly writes drier than most of those. De Atramentis document ink is my standard ink for all other colors, but this is my standard ink for pink. It is the only ink I use outside of that line, and it's earned its place. Some people mention a strong "latex paint" smell. I don't know about all that, though there is a bit of an odor. It's not a whole lot stronger than my other inks, though it is a bit stronger. You go nose blind to it pretty quickly.

De Atramentis Document Ink Green
I love this green and will use it extensively for journaling as well as for adding text to my sketches.
