Stowaway Dinghy
Hello True Kit. Since purchasing my Stowaway dinghy I've now used it three times to go from shore about 200 meters out to my small moored yacht in the Whangarei harbour and back. It has performed well. Relatively easy to row as inflatables go and I definitely like the inflatable floor. Strong, non slip, great. The only small change I would make to the kit and which I now have done on mine is to use Nylok SS nuts on the lower retaining bolt that goes horizontal through the white plastic fork of the rowlocks. On my third trip out the Port oarlock disasembled itself and the main vertical pin just fell out. Fortunately all the bits ended up in the dinghy. At the time I thought they had gone overboard. I managed to slowly row back to shore by looping the oar through the Port side velcro retaining loop and gently row. I've now installed Nylok SS nuts to both oarlocks and I think that will prevent a repeat. Other than that the little dinghy is perfect. I've made a large white canvas bag for stowage on my cabin top when sailing. The little dinghy is relatively light and I am able to carry it around on my own sucessfully. I like the rigid aluminium seat as well. Provides a good sitting position for rowing. Cheers and thanks True Kit.

True Kit Stowaway 220 Inflatable Dinghy
The Stowaway Dinghy was easy to unpack and assemble and appears to have been designed to completely fill my needs. My main requirement was for a small, light, but robust dinghy to take me and any gear and visitors between my boat shed and my small launch on a swing mooring at Pauatahanui Inlet. I also needed a good stable base afloat to work from for carying out exterior maintenance on the launch. The inflatable floor provides a good rigid platform that purpose. The dinghy rows easily and feels very stable given its size over all. If it could have been fitted with a transom for a small outboard motor like my 2.5 hp then I would rate it perfect. However I’m very pleased with my purchase from True Kit, and believe that due to the quality of construction, it will last well in regular and careful use. With thanks and best regards Brian Pidford

True Kit dinghy
The Stowaway is the 2nd True Kit product I own. Also own the Discovery 3.3. Did tons of research on 1st boat and came away convinced True Kit boats are the best value anywhere. Very high quality with exceptionally reasonable pricing. The Stowaway weighs 30 pounds and I can get it on top of my cruiser without help. Very stable. I weigh 250 pounds (lie) and stood in the boat. Again, very stable. Shipping was flawless….3 days…. and even with shipping, still less expensive than equal quality competitor.
