What a beautiful, vibrant and well-behaved ink

I was looking for a color to go with my new Monteverde Axis in Matte Purple. This is the perfect match. It's also a very well behaved ink that's vibrant without being obnoxious. This like all my orders from Goulet was shipped quickly and arrived well-packaged. I appreciate everyone on Goulet Pens, thank you!

Fun ink for grading and notes

I've been looking for a bright pink ink for grading, since I find red too harsh. I think this fits the bill -- it's not highlighter or Barbie pink, and there's just enough red to get attention. I suppose it's called fuchsia, but I'm not up on my color names. :D I usually write on cheap copy paper and Mead Composition notebooks, and the ink does well with both. There's some bleed through, especially on the copy paper. I tried the ink in two pens: a Pilot Metropolitan with a stub nib and a Conklin Duragraph with a black EF nib. Both pens tend to be a little picky about wanting wetter inks, especially the Duragraph. (I usually stick with Monteverde inks for both.) The PR Plum worked very well with both, although there's a little feathering with the Duragraph. Not enough to keep me from using it, especially for grading. For notes I'd most likely use the Metro, and it worked great with that pen, even shading just a little, which I didn't expect. Overall, I plan to buy a bottle of it, but I wish it didn't bleed quite as much. The rating is really between a 4 and 4.5, because it seems to bleed more than the Monteverde inks I've used in those pens with those papers.
