Orkney Linen Summer Cover

The linen is nice and thick - definitely the thickest of three brands I’ve now tried. The forest color was darker than expected, even from the swatch I had. My biggest complaint is the shipping. These products should be sent in a padded mailer. The non-padded mailer just is NOT sturdy enough. My mailer had two tears in it on arrival, and I held my breath taking this out thinking there were going to be rips in the blanket itself. VERY lucky there weren’t.

Summer covers are the best!

This is my third summer cover. The first, natural Orkney, was getting shabby on the edges. I’m giving all that great fabric to my sister, who makes wonderful things. The second is going strong. This last one was my venture into color, the beautiful blue. There are no seams, of course, now that the fabric is made on larger looms. It’s just wonderful to sleep under, winter and summer. And it looks gorgeous. Couldn’t be happier.

Dependable quality

I've been buying from Rough Linen for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. The summer cover in Orkney is very well made and just the right weight for our late spring and summer weather...even with air conditioning. My husband and I love the feel of our linen bedding, especially when it has been line dried.
