Does the job well

I ordered this for my 8J TT RS. My factory bushings were actually in great shape, and this still did a great job of removing some slack in the shifter. If you’re installing an aftermarket shift knob, that’s a perfect time to install these, takes just an extra couple minutes. I have this paired with cable bracket bushings, cable end link bushings, and DieselGeek’s Super Slider. The result is a nice crisp shifter with a good direct feel. I recommend it.
