For the cool white flasher the micro leads to the led could be a bit longer (had to cut and add wire) I have a 2 inch thick foam base on my layout. Also shipping took a week from Colorado to Wisconsin but was around the holidays. Excellent quality products, super bright! Overall very happy with Evan Designs. Mike G.

Z Scale FRED Kit Install

I have a Z Scale 40' boxcar that I modified with this kit. The LED is fairly close to scale, and it's extremely bright. I routed a brass pushrod through the car's end to activate the light switch. This is tricky, since the provided slide switch requires a bit of force to move. The assembly just barely fits into the space. I'd recommend a high cube boxcar to give a little bit more room, and maybe a sliding door to reach the switch. In operation, it looks realistic and adds that extra touch to the train. The service was top notch, and the order arrived quickly. Thanks!
