My first purchase! Overall as a beginner I really enjoyed it and the result was exactly as pictured which was very satisfying for me. I think I would just recommend a magnifying glass for those really small numbers. I didn't have one but would have liked to have one when painting. I unfortunately broke the main brush I used while painting this but was able to complete it with what was left of it! Also, there were times where the map and canvas were missing numbers so had to do some guess work at times by looking at the reference but I think they are small areas, as long as you follow the rest of the painting correctly you should have a pleasing result. The tips I received through email were really helpful too, like not having to restrict yourself to the lines, definitely paint over them because the blending will make the painting look more seamless and cohesive. You will also need to paint over the numbers a few times for the lighter colours. For some reason my lighter colours ran drier compared to the rest of the colours but I made it work. I also think I managed to have enough paint to do that because this painting has a darker palette so I'm happy with the result. As someone who enjoys creative pursuits I think it is crucial to have patience when painting this one so I wouldn't suggest this for someone who is a beginner to all things creative. However, once you are more seasoned, definitely give this one a try! It is highly satisfying. Now I just need to purchase the frame so I can hang it :)
