No seedlings survived, germinated but that's about it. Rest of tomatoes went fine though

Excellent Tomato!
Wonderful. I grew these in 2023. The plants suffered some from early blight, but less than most of the other tomatoes I grew. Very productive. Fruits are gigantic--4-6" long. They did not crack or sunburn or get blossom end rot. They did have some issue with green shoulders. Better flavor than any other paste tomato I had in '23. Highly recommend. Regarding the name: as the weather cooled in fall, the foliage took on a very definite blue (not purple) coloration.

Blue beech tomato
I'm happy with Pinetree's catalog and follow-through service, and interested that it's specifically the blue beech tomato that is highlighted, since it is performing suboptimally so far. I planted 5 plants, and all five have slenderer stems than my other varieties, broke easily, and o n ly one survives to date. Our season is very late this year, so even if this one survives, we may not get any fruit, I don't have a greenhouse so my experience may not be generalizable.
