They write beautifully. I had two Yu-Gi-Oh! cards autographed, one was a QC Secret Rare and it didn't catch or blob on the holofoil. I wouldn't recommend writing on a Collector's Rare, as the divets do blob the ink. After some testing, I found to wait at least 8 minutes before touching the ink or putting it in a case so that it doesn't smear
