Great for umbrella & wipes
Got two of these side pockets as accessories for the 34L GR2. They attach securely using the molle webbing and they're perfect for my intended purpose! I don't how other people use them, but for me, they solve the problem of what to do with things that can get wet or messy, such as an umbrella or a container of disposable wet wipes, i. e. , the kinds of things which you want quick-to-hand but which shouldn't be in the interior compartments where they'd be in contact with your clean & dry stuff. I have a large umbrella. The lower end goes into the side pocket I've attached at the base of the ruck. I secure the upper end with a velcro strap that's looped around the handle on the top of the ruck. That way, nothing flaps around. Highly recommended to augment your GoRuck experience.
