Cute but bigger than I anticipated

Cute but just a little larger than I anticipated. Not sure I love the base on these either - the pumpkins would have been cuter as stand-alone pieces. But I'll definitely use and enjoy these in my village.

I just feel that something is off on these pieces. The size ratio? Not certain. Purchased a few sets because I thought they would be a great addition to the set but sadly lacking.
