Newport Blanket

My sixth blanket from this company and the third purchased as a gift. The recipient says it’s very warm and is delighted with the weight as well as the dark blue color. I will have to buy more as gifts, my linen closet is full!

Not the same quality as a few years ago

I purchased one of these blankets maybe 3-4 years ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Like I'm talking tell everyone you know about it, best blanket I have ever owned hands down. Here's why: It was super thick, really the perfect weight- not quite like a weighted blanket but beefy enough to offer some solid pressure when curling up on the couch or napping with it; it also had the best warmth to air flow/wicking ratio I've ever had in a blanket (I didn't even know that was a thing until I had this blanket)...this thing was SO INSANELY WARM like perfectly toasty and yet it never once made me sweat (you know when your feet get kinda sweaty but you want to keep the blanket on? None of that here), it truly offered the perfect warm, dry heat. NOW notice I used all past tense there... I just purchased 2 new blankets with the two for one deal (saw the deal and couldn't resist because I was so obsessed with my first blanket). The new blankets I received did not have the same thickness or weight to them. It was definitely the same material, but the quality felt less solid, almost like they said "hey, nobody will notice if we make these just a tad thinner". I get it! BUT I noticed and it made a huge difference to me and for the price of these blankets, I couldn't justify it. I sadly had to return them. I did compare the two new blankets to my old one and it is significantly thicker (I had to be sure I wasn't dreaming this up). I have to say because I loved the first blanket so much, I will keep an eye out here and maybe buy again in a while to see if the quality went back up but for now, ugh MAN I am SO bummed!
