I have purchased five dot grid journals now, and filled up two of them. The dots don't seem to be perfectly 0.5 cm, but this doesn't hinder me, they are not large drawing pages anyway. I love that the artistic covers allow me to keep my journals separated by theme and easily identified: one for woodworking designs, another for beekeeping notes, a third for garden design. They are reasonably durable and have held up well for over a year.

I'm a statistics professor and I use these notebooks for all of my class and research notes. The dot grid is unobtrusive while allowing me to write in - and draw - straight lines.
