This is a great value mid-price scope. It is rather bulky and heavy, but the optics are good. My Swarovski scope is better but much more expensive. The Kowa will be used for counting seabird nests on offshore stacks and is easily up to the task. The zoom at x60 is not much use but is OK at 20x to about 40x.
