We just purchased a 30-year-old home with the gas valve in the floor next to the fireplace. The previous owner had covered it with layers of Scotch tape to keep the dust out. After I finally got off all the residue, I thought that there must be a cover somewhere just for gas valves. A google search turned up this product from this online retailer, where I could just buy one! Even with shipping, it was less than $10, and I was very happy to have a dedicated cover to keep out dust and dirt. It looks much nicer. The brand of gas valve I have is Hearthmaster, and it fit perfectly. Thank you for offering the option to just purchase one!
