Silicone for fidgeting at the desk
I will share my story using this product in case it is helpful to any others.
For context:
• I fidget a moderate amount - especially when I'm nervous or thinking at my desk at work.
• I previously always did pen spinning. The problem with pen spinning is that the pen has a lot of momentum and is partially plastic. Especially since fidgeting is often a background task - the pen is dropped frequently, and quite loud/disruptive when dropped.
• I wanted to find an alternative fidgeting mechanism that was less disruptive, but still skill expressive (so no basic fidgeting toys).
• I tried begleri using paracord monkey's fist. This is skill expressive and quiet, but the problem is it requires too much momentum and arm movement to do at the desk. Even with short game it's still too much in my opinion.
The silicone honeybones were basically a perfect solution to my problem:
• The silicone makes it essentially silent when dropped, even when dropped on a keyboard it is very quiet.
• Knucklebones are a great fidgeting mechanism that is sufficiently skill expressive.
• As a bonus it is very portable.
• I will say silicone is very different from delrin/other materials as mentioned. It is much more grippy and lends itself better to control tricks as opposed to momentum tricks. For example, I can't really do sonics well with the silicone. This makes doing many traditional knucklebone tricks very difficult, but my purpose is to fidget and for that it still works well.

I really like all three sizes of these Knucklebones. They are lightweight but very flexible and sturdy. The give you a good exercise for your hands.

Great starter set
Having no experience with the kbones I was unsure on which size I should purchase. This set of 3 is a great inexpensive way to determine. They are very grippy and have been great at getting used to finger control and don’t make any noise when dropped. My wife and son have also been using the two smaller sizes. Great product!
