Awesome! My grandson loves it.

He got this for his 9th birthday. I was worried it might be overwhelming but he took to it right away (get the accessory kit too). It’s easy to set up & observe. The optics are good quality but the mount is touchy. The dob is the easiest to aim & slew, just make sure to take your time and set up the finder scope accurately. Do it in daylight. We went to the local soccer field and targeted a distant light standard…follow instructions. Find a solid flat rock to observe from (not a picnic table). DON’T TOUCH ANY GLASS or you will have fingerprints to clean/good luck with that. I gave it one * less because of instability.

Looks nice on a desk , but don’t let it fool you , for its size it shows the moon and planets wide double stars and bright deep sky respectably ,Getting the finder scope and nylon carry bag kit to go with it !
