Nice packet trick

For those learning card magic but haven't yet ventured into packet tricks, this one is nice. It's learnable in real time, with no difficult sleights. For learning these types of tricks, I also recommend buying extra material that explains how to handle packets, such as the Elmsley Count Project (found on the website) and Daryl's Enclyolopedia of Card Sleights DVD (vol 7). I also recommend the short book "Cards, Cuts, Moves, and Subtlety" book by Jerry Mentzner, which is small but to the point. Although it took me a while to get into packet tricks, I soon found they are used heavily in full-deck tricks, with packets loaded to/from main deck. This is demonstrated clearly by Bill Malone in the Malone Meets Marlo DVD series - Bill Malone performing Ed Marlo's best routines. So learning packet tricks like Tom's is invaluable for any card man who wants to go beyond purely self-working tricks. These combo tricks are often the most diabolical. Recommended.
