Airmega 400•400S Max2 Filter Set

Unlike the original filters that came with the filter, these replacement filter off gas a horrible chemical odor. I've been airing them out for three days now and the smell has not dissipated. Coway says it's due to the plastic wrapping the new filters come in. However, the original filters came wrapped in the same plastic and didn't off gas like this. The new filters look physically different so I can tell Coway has changed their manufacturer. Customer service does not seem keen on letting me return the filters because of the chemical smell so it looks like the Airmega 400 is going into storage. I'll go back to using my old Honeywell HEPA with the non stinky filters. Buyer beware!

Best air purifier I’ve ever owned first time I’ve had to replace filters because I always wash before it’s required! Own four of these !!! If they were waterproof, I’d put more outside of my house
