Not My Dad's Melon
In 2019, my dad decided that my brother's graduation party was the perfect time to test out the baked watermelon recipe. The fifty or so guests weren't enough to finish it.
This isn't that melon, steaming, crumbly soft, and doused in Liquid Smoke. Why Would You Make This!? is how a watermelon should be: sticky sweet, crisp and fresh. The bit of smoke only makes it smell more like summer

A 6.5/10 for me, 8.5/10 in general
Like a high 6.5/10 for me... Rounding down to a 3/5 because I truly couldn't see myself buying a full size and wearing it. I would definitely like this more smelling it on someone else. Spice and fruit come out on top for me, mostly the paprika, watermelon, and apple. It isn't too strong or overpowering and fades to be more sweet with a subtle spice and wears for quite a while, even in warm weather. It's more masculine leaning, which doesn't make a difference for me, personally. It definitely smells like food, though that's just because I know the notes. If you're interested in this, I say definitely get a sample.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this, but the story behind it (seriously, go read the Guardian article linked in the description) was so hilarious, and the notes so intriguing, that I had to buy it. I’ve never smelled anything like this and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s very watermelon forward, but not like candy. It’s like watermelon with Tajín and chamoy; a little sweet, a little savory and smoky, a little spicy. 10/10, no notes.
